Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is seeking a Senior Backend Developer in London to build scalable cloud-based applications using Python and AWS services. The role emphasizes a serverless-first approach and collaboration within an Agile team of engineers and designers.

You will work on developing RESTful APIs or GraphQL, participate in code reviews and pair programming, and help drive improvements across our development practices while engaging with emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working as a Senior Backend Developer.
• Strong commercial experience with Python as a primary development language.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Experience with AWS Cloud services.
• Experience with serverless architecture and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control.
• Good understanding of software development best practices, including TDD, pair programming and code reviews.
• Strong software design, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• A willingness to engage with emerging technologies and contribute to solution design from inception.
• A passion for continuous improvement and learning from colleagues and peers.

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Hybrid: 1 day per week onsite in London
