Job summary

A dynamic software company in Birmingham is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the development of a modern Azure cloud platform for a rapidly growing SaaS product. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with diverse teams to enhance the reliability and scalability of the infrastructure. Key responsibilities include designing scalable architecture, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and driving security best practices. The role requires over 5 years of experience in DevOps roles, particularly within production environments, and a strong grasp of cloud security and automation practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on Azure experience in production environments.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure automation and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
• Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions).
• Managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Driving containerisation strategy using Docker & Kubernetes (AKS).
• Improving observability, monitoring and alerting across production environments.
• Implementing DevSecOps best practice and improving platform security posture.
