Onyx-Conseil is seeking an experienced Lead AV Installation Engineer for Birmingham and the Midlands, with occasional overnight stays. The role involves leading AV installations in lecture theatres and teaching spaces, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery and handover to clients.

You will oversee end-to-end installation, from survey to commissioning, while mentoring a junior engineer and coordinating with project managers and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading commercial AV installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems integration and commissioning.
• Experience in education or large-scale venues is a plus.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Full UK driving licence; ECS/CSCS and Enhanced DBS preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Lead AV installation projects across education and commercial environments.
• Install, terminate, test and commission AV systems to a high standard.
• Interpret schematics, rack layouts and technical drawings.
• Conduct site surveys and proactively identify installation risks.
• Mentor and support a Junior AV Installation Engineer.
• Liaise with project managers, site managers and client representatives.
