Placements24 client, a cutting-edge automotive technology provider, seeks a Senior Automotive Test Automation Engineer to join their Randburg team on-site. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control systems, driving quality and faster development cycles.

You'll implement tests across unit to end-to-end levels, integrate into CI/CD, collaborate with software and systems engineering, and promote best practices in test automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in software testing and test automation.
• Experience building automated test frameworks in Python/C++/Java.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Appium or Robot Framework; CI/CD exposure.

About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge automotive technology provider, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Automotive Test Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Randburg, Gauteng . This on-site role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software and hardware systems through advanced automated testing strategies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust automated test frameworks and scripts for a variety of automotive applications, including infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control systems. We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in software development, test automation principles, and a passion for the automotive industry. Your expertise will contribute to faster development cycles and higher product quality. This position requires a hands-on approach and close collaboration with development and systems engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for automotive software and hardware components.
• Implement automated testing solutions for various levels, including unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Proven experience developing automated test frameworks using languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework) and methodologies.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools is highly desirable.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Randburg, Gauteng .
