Job summary

Synapri is seeking a Senior Automation Tester for a London-based hybrid contract to deliver robust automated testing for key financial software and data platforms. You will design and maintain test frameworks, execute API, data, and end-to-end tests, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has strong Java/C# skills, experience with Selenium and Playwright, and a proven track record building automation frameworks in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QA Automation Tester within an enterprise-scale Financial Services or Banking environment.
• Strong expertise in both Java and C#, along with hands-on experience in Selenium and Playwright.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong SQL skills with backend data validation experience.
• Demonstrable experience building automation frameworks from scratch and enhancing existing frameworks.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Experience with test and defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, API, database and end-to-end testing.
• Validate backend data and source-to-target data quality.
• Identify defects, manage retesting and support production releases.
• Work closely with developers, BAs and stakeholders across the SDLC.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous testing practices.
