Job summary

A leading manufacturer of Warehouse Automation products is seeking a Senior Automation Installation Engineer to work on integration projects across the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience installing automated systems, strong PLC knowledge, and a full UK driver's license.   • Ensure installations meet client specifications.
  • Comply with Health & Safety protocols at all times.

Job description

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer and integrator of Warehouse Automation products looking to bring on a Senior Automation Installation Engineer to work on their Warehouse Integration projects for clients across the UK. With a competitive base salary and overall package, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Installation Engineer with a background working in Warehouse Automation.

Responsibilities
  • Installing and commissioning automated systems including conveyors, robotic arms, and overhead cranes.
  • Using diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and PLC software, to perform mechanical and electrical fault-finding
  • Providing on-site and remote technical support for clients post-installation
  • Guiding and training junior engineers on all aspects of installations and fault-finding/repairs
  • Ensuring all installations are completed on time, within budget and to full-client specifications
  • Complying with both company and client Health & Safety protocols at all times
Requirements

Our client is ideally looking for an individual with previous experience of installing Warehouse Automated Systems, preferably with a strong understanding of PLCs. The ideal candidate would also hold their 18th Edition qualification and a knowledge of crane systems and lifting equipment, this is not essential though. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in the Midlands. You must hold a full UK driver’s license as there will be an expectation to travel to customer sites around the country.
