London/UK Remote | £108,700 - £130,000 + Incentive Awards tied to your performance + Benefits

We’re looking for a Senior Audit Transformation Lead to help reinvent Internal Audit at Monzo. You’ll have the freedom to redefine how assurance is delivered at scale, by being at the heart of Internal Audit’s transformation agenda.

You don’t need an audit background for this role. What we’re looking for is a natural collaborator, who can bridge different stakeholder groups to turn ambitious ideas into reality.

Our Internal Audit team

Internal Audit is Monzo’s Third Line of Defence, and we’re here to help Monzo grow safely. We’re looking for a passionate Senior Audit Transformation Lead, to help us create an outsized impact for the Internal Audit function.

This is a highly cross-functional role that gives you a holistic and global view of Monzo. You’ll be an individual contributor who sits at the intersection of assurance, data and product design to drive transformation.

If you’re excited by the prospect of embracing technology and product design principles to redefine what assurance looks like, then we want to hear from you.

You’ll play a key role by...

  • Translating Internal Audit’s strategy into a concrete product roadmap with measurable business and risk outcomes.
  • Championing a product owner mindset across the Internal Audit function, that is focused on providing technology enabled, repeatable and value-driven assurance.
  • Working closely with the Senior Audit Innovation and Enablement Lead, Head of Professional Practices and the audit team to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Modernising the Internal Audit function by embedding technology into what we do, and how we do things.
  • Coaching the Internal Audit function to adopt new technologies and ways of working.
  • Building collaborative working relationships with stakeholders outside of Internal Audit, such as Risk and Compliance.
  • Driving communications and engagement across Monzo, to maximise the value of Internal Audit products and insights.
  • Influencing and shaping cross-Collective initiatives that have an impact on the Internal Audit function.
  • Positioning Monzo as a leading benchmark for technology led assurance, by building strategic partnerships with regulatory bodies, industry forums and academia.

We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You are energised by the idea of translating abstract frameworks and design principles, into concrete outcomes.
  • You can influence senior stakeholders and technical leads without direct line management authority.
  • You can communicate data or engineering concepts to non-technical audiences, and also translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • You think like a product owner, and have a track record of leading agile, digital or operational transformations in a fast moving environment.
  • You can manage product roadmaps and drive end-user adoption.
  • You have worked in fast-moving environments with developing risk and control frameworks.

What’s in it for you

£108,700 - £130,000 Incentive Awards tied to your performance.

This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London)
