Job summary

PwC UK’s Asset and Wealth Management practice leads the market in AWM audit. You will lead complex engagements across multiple locations, guiding planning to completion and ensuring high‑quality documentation and compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.

You will build trusted client relationships, coach junior staff, and collaborate with PwC colleagues worldwide while fostering inclusive teams and a commercial mindset.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience.
• Extensive IFRS and/or UK GAAP experience in auditing.
• Proven track record in managing large, complex audits from planning to completion.
• Able to communicate complex audit matters clearly to colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading multi-location or international audit teams.
• Extensive asset management experience in traditional asset or wealth management sectors.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex audit engagements by managing large, multi-location (often international) teams from planning through to completion, overseeing complex and judgemental audit areas, ensuring high-quality documentation, and reviewing financial statements for compliance with relevant standards.
• Building trusted client relationships through strong people and relationship management skills, demonstrating curiosity and insight, providing appropriate challenge during audits, and clearly articulating conclusions and recommendations to senior stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
• Collaborating across PwC by building strong connections with internal teams and specialist areas, managing specialist contributors, navigating differing viewpoints, and leading internal projects that support PwC and the wider lines of service.
• Developing high-performing, inclusive teams by managing financial and resource aspects of engagements with a commercial mindset, coaching and mentoring junior staff, role-modelling PwC values, fostering an inclusive environment, and supporting individuals’ long-term development and aspirations.
