Job summary

High Speed Two Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the assurance documentation and certification process across the EKFB Main Works Civils Contract in the Central Section. You will coordinate engineering, delivery, assurance, information management and supply-chain teams to ensure timely reviews and close-out.

This senior role requires extensive experience in infrastructure programmes, with a proven ability to drive improvements and deliver successful handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Significant project management experience on major infrastructure programmes.
• Proven ability managing a complex project process with multiple technical teams.
• Experience closing out a major project or phase through completion and handover.
• Strong understanding of how design, construction, testing, assurance and handover fit together.
• Experience managing large volumes of project, engineering or assurance information.
• Ability to interrogate documentation and identify missing or misrouted items.
• Strong people management and stakeholder management skills.
• Technical understanding to communicate with engineers and understand terminology.
• Experience in client-side, Tier 1 contractor or major consultancy environments.
• Understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contract management and project risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project management of the Construction Assurance documentation and certification process across the EKFB Main Works Civils Contract.
• Coordinate the people, processes and interfaces required to move assurance information through the review, acceptance and close-out process.
• Interrogate documentation to understand completeness, quality, status and outstanding requirements.
• Coordinate engineering, delivery, assurance, information management and supply-chain teams to drive actions through to completion.
• Identify process gaps and design improvements with HS2 teams and delivery partners.
• Provide the Project Director and Head of Engineering with visibility of progress, risks and dependencies.
• Ensure assurance activities align with programme, construction completion, testing and handover.
• Manage interfaces with EKFB, HS2 teams and other stakeholders to support handover.
