Job summary

Aon in London seeks a Senior Associate to support complex M&A tax and international tax transactions within the Tax Insurance team. The role covers structuring, broking placements, client reporting and cross-border collaboration.

You will engage with clients and insurers, manage underwriting processes, and help develop business pipelines in a dynamic, hybrid-work environment. Strong tax background and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Manager level in M&A tax, preferably in Big 4 or legal firm, specialising in international tax.
• Strong understanding of tax principles, compliance, and regulations, with exposure to transactional tax matters.
• Experience in a Transfer Pricing team with a broader tax background is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated curiosity about business development activities and client presentations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the structuring and placement of sophisticated tax risks in the insurance market to remove barriers to M&A deals (or risk transfer in a non-transaction context).
• Lead day-to-day delivery of broking placements - including client and insurer engagement, insurer submissions, client reports, underwriting process management, and policy binding.
• Supervise post-transaction invoicing and collate post-deal marketing collateral.
• Manage collaborator relationships (client and adviser relationships are key to business generation).
• Boost understanding of AMATS capabilities to connect with collaborators.
• Assist with proposals/pitches and developing the team's pipeline.

What the day will look like

In this wide and varied role your role and responsibilities will include:
