Key responsibilities

General duties include but are not limited to :

• Effectively manage an individual caseload and delegate to and provide supervision to more junior members of the team as required.
• Foster relationships with existing and new clients. Ensure that all clients receive an excellent service.
• Work in a collegiate and collaborative way within an immediate Team and wider Firm environment.
• Communicate promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients.
• Continuing your professional development and staying updated with legal developments in the field
• To carry out your work for both colleagues and clients to the highest possible standard having regard to the Firms standards procedures and core values.
• Work with the Business Development & Marketing Team in order to develop the Firms reputation and client base.
• Feed into the budget process annually and take responsibility for the financial performance of the Construction team.

Ongoing learning is something that will continue in your career at Stone King; we aim to be leaders in our chosen fields often providing workshops and seminars not only for our people but also for external clients on key areas of law.

Requirements

Essential

• An experienced Solicitor or Barrister working and with a good level of experience in non-contentious construction matters.
• Experienced effective manager / supervisor.
• The ideal candidate will have the potential to market the firm and should have a strong interest in business development. Typical business development opportunities would include but are not limited to : attending seminars and networking events presenting workshops to the firms clients and being involved in pitches / tenders.
• The candidate should be able to evidence diversity and experience in the construction and infrastructure sector.
• A strong commitment to career development and further learning.

Desirable

• Experience working within the Education Charity and Public Sectors funding arena would be advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will be dual qualified in both law and construction holding senior membership of a chartered professional institution MRICS MCIOB or similar.
• Specialist qualifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution particularly arbitration and adjudication and membership of the Charted Institute of Arbitrators would be advantageous.
