Job summary

TLT LLP in London seeks experienced Lawyers at Senior Associate level for the Public Inquiries, Inquests & Public Law (PIIPL) team. The role involves fee-earning work supporting inquiries, investigations, and public law matters, with collaboration across a specialist team.

You will handle complex litigation environments, contribute to senior relationships, and help deliver high-profile inquiries while developing junior team members. The firm supports hybrid working and client-focused growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE within litigation, able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong litigation and project management experience with large-scale disclosure exercises.
• Forward thinker with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially aware with exposure to business development and client relationships.
• Understand client’s business needs and act in the firm and client’s best interests.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture and support development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Act as a supporting Solicitor to statutory and non-statutory inquiries.
• Undertake internal investigations and independent reviews.
• Provide legal advice to the Inquiry Team and support senior relationships with key participants.
• Lead or manage complex, multi-disciplinary legal or investigative environments.
• Lead large-scale disclosure/document production/information management projects.
• Advise on merits of defending judicial review claims and JR challenges in public law.
• Advise on litigation related to national security matters.
• Plan and implement strategies to deliver client requirements.
• Lead and monitor document-heavy reviews to identify relevant materials.
• Set up programmes of work and monitor delivery.
• Provide clear instructions to witnesses and support their oral evidence.
• Supervise juniors and foster development within the team.
• Work flexibly across workstreams to maximise resources.
