A growing construction consultancy seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage projects in the South-West of the United Kingdom. This role requires an individual with a strong background in construction consultancy, capable of delivering projects from inception to handover, and managing a collaborative project management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a relevant degree, with a preference for chartered professionals within RICS, APM, or CIOB. We are recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager / Associate Project Manager to join our growing team. This opportunity will suit an experienced individual who is looking to progress their career and has the desire and ability to help further grow our business. This role will allow you independence to lead and manage exciting projects within the South-West as well as supporting the management of the project management team. If you have experience gained within a construction consultancy and possess a good working knowledge of the project life cycle, particularly for pre-construction project stages, we will welcome your expression of interest.

What you need to do to be effective in this role
  • Autonomy for project delivery of all project stages, supported by a multi discipline business
  • Support the management and growth of the project management team
  • Manage both internal and external consultant teams, maintaining open communication and a collaborative approach to project delivery
  • Lead on project reporting and administrative tasks with a high-degree of autonomy
  • Develop and implement project procurement strategies
  • Contract administration (various forms of contract)
  • Project programming (MS Project)
  • Develop and maintain project risk registers
  • Manage and track project finances
  • Project change control
  • Develop and implement quality management processes.
The skills and experience you need to have for this role
  • Ability to set up and drive new projects from inception, including the early stages strategizing and team building, to on-site delivery, completion and handover
  • Ability to lead projects and teams, and to develop long-lasting client relationships, with autonomy
  • Exceptional communication and reporting, incorporating the use of MS Office, MS Project and/or alternative scheduling software
  • Construction related degree (or equivalent professional qualifications)
  • Ideally chartered or progressing chartership within RICS, APM or CIOB
  • Good understanding of project delivery processes from RIBA 0-6.
  • Proven experience of working within professional services in the construction industry.
