A leading property consultancy in Cardiff is seeking a Senior or Associate Planner with RTPI and/or RICS qualifications. The role involves managing planning projects and conducting research, with strong analytical and communication skills required. The successful candidate will support senior colleagues and contribute to the team’s success in various planning projects. We have an exciting opportunity for a RTPI and/or RICS qualified Senior or Associate Planner to join our dynamic Cardiff Planning Team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in UK town planning and a thorough understanding of governmental systems. You’ll be responsible for managing your own projects, conducting planning research, and preparing high quality reports and submissions including site assessments, policy notes, applications, appeals, and development plan representations.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting senior colleagues and contributing to the team’s overall success. This includes assisting with workload management, business development activities, and client engagement.

The Savills Planning Team in Cardiff is made up of 17 planners and is a highly respected part of the UK’s largest planning consultancy, with over 190 specialists nationwide. The team works across a diverse range of projects and clients including developers, investors, corporates, charities, and education providers delivering schemes locally, regionally, and nationally.
Current projects include work with Wrexham AFC, Indurent Park in Newport, Twyn Hywel Energy Park, Bridgend College, Cardiff Bay mixed-use development, and a Carbon Capture and Storage scheme in North Wales. The team collaborates closely with colleagues across Development, Investment, Office Agency, New Homes, Building Services, Energy & Sustainability, and Property Management, forming part of the largest property services firm in Wales.
