The successful candidate will be a technically strong insolvency professional who can independently manage statutory compliance, stakeholder reporting and case strategy, whilst also leading, developing and quality checking the work of junior members of the ICE team.

The ICE Manager acts as a key interface between case teams, officeholders, and internal support functions.

  • Take full ownership of the statutory lifecycle of appointments, ensuring:
    • All statutory deadlines are met
    • Filings are accurate, timely and compliant
    • Statutory aspects of case strategies are properly implemented and documented
    • Provision of technical input into case planning, appointment formalities and timeframes, exit strategies, creditor distributions and closure processes.
Statutory Compliance & Technical Delivery
  • Prepare, review and quality‑check statutory documents, (including but not limited to):
    • Statement of affairs
    • Progress reports
    • Fee approval documentation
    • Receipts and payments accounts
    • SIP16 statements
    • Creditors’ decisions
    • Dividend notices and calculations
    • Statutory filings
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex compliance and procedural matters.
Stakeholder & Case Team Interface
  • Act as a primary ICE contact for allocated case team members, office‑holders, legal advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide clear technical guidance and procedural direction to case teams to ensure correct implementation of insolvency processes.
People Management & Development
  • Line manage and mentor junior members of the ICE team, including:
    • Work allocation and capacity management
    • Technical training and development
    • Performance feedback and appraisals
    • Quality check and review of work
    • Promote consistent application of ICE/A&M standards and best practice across the team
Process Improvement & Risk Management
  • Proactively manage risk by identifying potential compliance or regulatory issues and escalating appropriately.
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies within ICE/A&M workflows.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of ICE/A&M procedures, templates and controls.
Training and Development

A&M is an organisation committed to Continued Professional Development and provides on the job training together with regular internal seminars on topical matters. Whilst no formal training contract is being offered with this role, there may be the opportunity to study towards a relevant professional qualification in due course. This will be assessed on an individual basis and subject to internal approval.
