The mission of HR UK is to provide a proactive service that aligns with ABN AMRO’s UK business strategy and culture, supporting leadership and employees.
This role is positioned in the Human Resources department and has a reporting line to the HR Business Partner.
Your job
This role is responsible for a variety of operational tasks across the HR team, covering both HR and Reward functions. It is broad in scope, with a particular focus on operational activities, including reporting, governance, and maintaining operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the coordination of team activities such as weekly kick-offs, team meetings, and the HR annual plan, including action tracking.
- Monitors progress of annual HR projects and team objectives.
- Executes key operational processes such as onboarding and offboarding.
- Coordinates the intake of overseas employees on graduate rotations.
- Manages immigration and visa processes for employees and internal transfers.
- Maintains and updates HR standard operating procedures and work instructions for employee lifecycle events.
- Keeps abreast of technology changes within the business and informs the UK HR team of relevant updates.
- Supports Procurement with the onboarding of third‑party contracts managed by HR.
- Oversees the maintenance and updates of all third‑party contracts owned by HR.
- Reporting and Management Information (MI)
- Prepares monthly and quarterly dashboards, as well as ad hoc reports.
- Collates and analyses onboarding and exit interview data, sharing insights with the wider team and HR Business Partners.
- Supports the annual budget process in collaboration with Payroll and HR Business Partners.
- Ensures data integrity within HR systems and supports effective system processes.
- Data, Privacy and Risk Management
- Assists the HR team with risk‑related tasks including tracking HR risk events, completing periodic risk monitoring, and contributing to reporting activities such as the monthly risk dashboard.
Your profile
- Experience working with HR and payroll systems (ADP and SuccessFactors preferred but not essential).
- Working knowledge of immigration legislation and Home Office Sponsorship/Visa processes.
- An awareness of GDPR requirements as they relate to HR activities.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to run reports and present data clearly.
- Interest in developing skills with reporting tools such as PowerBI and Qualtrics.
- Experience in managing employee lifecycle processes (e.g. onboarding, offboarding).
- Experience in banking or financial services (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing and drafting HR documentation.
- Understanding of the regulatory and legal framework relevant to HR.
- Ability to respond promptly and professionally to business requests.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence.
- Collaborative approach with a focus on achieving team results.
- Adapts positively to change and supports others in understanding its benefits.
- Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality.
