Job summary

Elanco seeks a Global Lab Informatics Sr. Associate to lead delivery and ongoing maintenance of laboratory informatics systems, with emphasis on LabVantage deployment in QC labs worldwide. You will coordinate with Global Quality, MQ, and IT teams to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

The role requires a strong background in laboratory operations, LabVantage experience, and project leadership, with up to 10% travel. A bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field; chemistry, biology, engineering, IT, or similar.
  • Experience in a regulated lab environment with exposure to regulators (USDA / FDA / VMD).
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations and processes.
  • Demonstrated use or implementation of LabVantage laboratory informatics software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage deployment of LabVantage across QC labs globally.
  • Provide program leadership, track timelines, produce progress reports and escalate issues.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to refine business requirements and data models.
  • Define and implement lifecycle management strategies for LabVantage solutions.

This role is a key global point of contact for site QC labs, Global Quality, and Elanco MQ and IT personnel. This role will provide technical leadership and project management oversight for the Elanco laboratory informatics teams global implementation of LabVantage across the QC Network.Your responsibilities:Strategic Deployment of Laboratory Informatics Solutions, with primary emphasis on LabVantage: provide program leadership and support established timelines, provide routine progress reports/metrics, and escalate issues as appropriate.Key contact for site leadership and staff to ensure successful deployment of LabVantage, including negotiation of project priorities and elimination of barriersDrive the discovery and creation of master data, reports, dashboards, and other key LabVantage deliverables.Define and implement support strategy for sustainable lifecycle management of LabVantageCollect key learning from deployment activities to incorporate improvements and best practices into downstream deploymentsEnsure LabVantage solution remains in compliance with CSQ/CSV requirements.Define, develop, and implement business processes to help ensure most effective use of LabVantage. Refine business requirements in collaboration with SMEs and stake holders as needed to gain maximum value from the IT solution.Represent business requirements in vendor discussionsComply with all company local and global policies including Quality frameworks, Code of Conduct, Corporate Citizenship, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management.What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):Education:Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, information technology, or other applicable scientific discipline.Experience:Previous laboratory experience, within a regulated environment – exposure to external regulators i.e. USDA / FDA / VMD etc.Strong working knowledge of laboratory operations and processesDemonstrated experience with the use and/or implementation of LabVantageQuantitative analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and a keen business senseAbility to both lead and support; and a track record of going the “extra mile” for internal stakeholders and his/her teamEffective communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skillsInterpersonal savvy, with the capacity to build strong senior relationshipsPassion for excellence and the desire to have a significant impact on the businessHighly self-motivated and willing to proactively take on leadership roles within project teams and the company at largeDemonstrated ability to initiate and drive change across an organization.Additional Information:Expected Travel : Up to 10%, both domestic and internationalDon’t meet every single requirement?
