The Mercury Business Advisor plays a key role in advising and supporting our client-serving engagement teams by making the best use of our financial system, Mercury, and its processes to effectively manage their projects with EY’s external clients. Responsibilities include:
- Proactive outreach to engagement teams to address financial risks identified through exception reporting, fostering a culture of financial awareness and accountability.
- Providing financial advisory support to engagement teams.

Your key responsibilities
- Engage with client teams based on report analysis, ensuring queries are resolved to mitigate financial risk.
- Facilitate training on Mercury and financial best practices.
- Share knowledge and support team members across borders and service lines, leveraging best practices.
- Provide financial advisory support via phone or online chat, review pricing and engagement budgets, explain financial impacts, and support billing and engagement setup queries.
Analytic and Decision-Making Responsibilities
- Make decisions to ensure timely and accurate responses to client queries, escalating when necessary.
- Manage interactions with clients, leveraging soft skills and a global mindset.
- Prepare for client discussions by leveraging system and finance expertise, prioritizing topics, and consulting with experts as needed.

- At least two years of experience in a client-driven professional environment in a financial or business role.
