Travel to London required for a monthly all staff meeting and client meetings as required.

Senior Associate Employment Solicitor Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice on all aspects of employment law including employee relations, TUPE, employment contracts and settlement agreements.
  • Advise clients on HR and workplace issues.
  • Provide advice and guidance on company restructures, consultations and redundancies.
  • Draft contracts of employment, policies and procedures in accordance with current UK employment law and regulations.
  • Draft settlement agreements for employers, and review and advise on settlement agreements for individuals.
  • Advise and represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
  • Assist clients with dispute resolution, and promote the mediation services offered.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through provision of expert advice and clear communication.
  • Attend client meetings in person and via Teams.
  • Maintain accurate records on case management and time and billing systems.
  • Maintain CPD and ensure a full understanding of developments in employment legislation and keep informed of recent case law.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives e.g. attend networking events, regular posts on LinkedIn, client seminars and training events.
Senior Associate Employment Solicitor Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified Solicitors in England & Wales with min 6 years PQE experience in employment law.
  • Ideally but not essentially, experienced in contentious and non-contentious law.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of analytical thinking.
  • Sound Office 365 skills and competent user of case management and time and billing systems.
  • Strong client relation skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and commercial awareness.
  • Must be a confident and enthusiastic team player, adept at working remotely and collaborating with colleagues using modern communication tools e.g. Teams, WhatsApp.
