Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Electrical Engineer in Oxford to lead client relationships and deliver technically excellent, commercially sound electrical designs across building services projects. This role supports hybrid working and a 9-day fortnight in a collaborative Oxford office.

The successful candidate will manage multi‑discipline schemes, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while upholding Hoare Lea’s standards and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status desirable for Senior Associate; working towards for Associate.
• Extensive project & client leadership experience.
• Strong technical competence in electrical building services and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary client contact for projects; define briefs and represent Hoare Lea professionally.
• Lead and coordinate project teams; manage workloads and internal meetings.
• Deliver profitable, high‑quality electrical designs and monitor costs.
• Delegate and develop junior staff; contribute to staff development and performance objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors to support repeat business.
