We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate Corporate & Commercial Solicitor based in Northampton for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.

Summary of the Senior Associate Corporate & Commercial Solicitor role

Salary: £60,000 per annum
Location: Northampton
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: full-time Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the Senior Associate Corporate & Commercial Solicitor
  • Advise a broad portfolio of clients on a full range of corporate and commercial matters, from business start-ups to complex transactions.
  • Lead on corporate structures, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and disposals.
  • Provide strategic advice on succession planning, restructures, and demergers.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, and partnership arrangements.
  • Offer guidance on corporate governance and compliance, ensuring clients operate within current legal frameworks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Build and nurture long‑term client relationships through clear communication and commercial awareness.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Play an active role in business development, networking, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
  • Potential to progress towards partnership, with a clear career development plan and opportunities to work on niche, high‑value projects as the team expands.
Requirements for a successful Senior Associate Corporate & Commercial Solicitor
  • Qualified Solicitor with several years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in corporate and commercial law.
