Chadwick Nott are partnering with a leading Top 100 UK law firm to recruit a Senior Associate for their Bristol Contentious Trusts & Estates team. You will advise high-net-worth clients, trustees and executors on complex disputes, with significant responsibility from day one.

The role offers hybrid working and a quoted high-calibre caseload including will challenges, Inheritance Act claims and trust litigation, with clear progression opportunities within a nationally respected private wealth

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 7 years’ PQE in Contentious Trusts & Estates or related private wealth disputes.
• Experience handling complex matters with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and pragmatic dispute resolution.
• Interest in networking and business development.

Senior Associate – Contentious Trusts & Estates – Bristol

Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a leading Top 100 UK law firm with a strong national footprint and an outstanding reputation across the South West. Consistently recognised by the Legal 500 and Chambers, the firm boasts one of the region’s largest specialist Contentious Trusts & Estates teams and is known for advising on some of the most complex private wealth disputes in the market.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contentious Trusts & Estates Solicitor to join the firm’s growing Bristol team.

You’ll work closely with recognised specialists, advising a diverse client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, trustees, executors, charities, business owners, farmers and landed estates. The work is varied, high quality and often involves complex and sensitive disputes.

Typical matters include:

• Challenges to the validity of wills
• Inheritance Act claims
• Trustee and executor disputes
• Trust litigation
• Professional negligence claims linked to estate and trust administration
• High-value and technically complex private wealth disputes

This role offers significant responsibility from the outset, regular client contact and the chance to become an integral part of a highly respected private wealth disputes practice.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 7 years’ PQE in Contentious Trusts & Estates or a related private wealth disputes practice.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience handling complex matters with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
• A demonstrable interest in networking, business development and profile raising.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A collaborative and ambitious approach with a desire to contribute to the growth of the team.
