Role and Location

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Client Services to join our EMEA Investment Management team. This role is located in London.

Responsibilities
  • Fulfilling all administrative needs of fund buying and distributing IM EMEA clients in the UK.
  • Acting as a first and ongoing point of contact for any client service needs.
  • Delivering & communicating operational excellence to the wholesale and institutional clients (including Platforms) of BNY Investments in the UK.
  • Maintaining regular client contact with the aim to improve client service and satisfaction and continue to build the BNY brand and image.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with the various contacts of BNY Investment’s clients, including their operational and dealing contacts.
  • Responding to incoming operational queries and ad-hoc requests from clients and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting in the negotiation and implementation of new legal agreements.
  • Ensuring commission, rebate and mandate arrangements are set up, maintained and monitored correctly.
  • Organising and delivering regular monthly and quarterly reports to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding their investments including but not limited to corporate actions, regulatory change, and account activity.
  • Working alongside the Sales Team and Relationship Managers, supporting the sales process and ensuring that they are kept appraised of all relevant issues relating to the client.
  • Working closely with internal departments, boutiques and the transfer agent to ensure the highest level of client service is achieved and maintained.
  • Identifying areas for process and client service improvements on an ongoing basis and in line with business, market and product developments.
  • Observing, maintaining and improving tight risk control processes.
  • Participating in project work as and when required.
  • Understanding the core product offering, the strategies and the investment process of each of the investment firms.
  • Provide temporary cover for Relationship Managers or other Client Services staff when needed.
  • Fully understanding and adhering to the company’s procedures covering anti financial crime matters, including but not limited to, AML, KYC and sanctions requirements.
  • Complying with all corporate policies and procedures within the department.
  • Alerting management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness.
  • Notifying management and/or Compliance immediately of any regulatory breach.
  • Complying with health and safety policies and procedures operating within the business.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a client service role in the investment management industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organizational and relationship management skills
  • Client knowledge and understanding
  • Numeracy and good level of competence in Excel
  • Solving problems and creating solutions
  • The ability to execute the sales process
  • Project and time management skills
