Senior Associate - Agriculture & Land - Somerset - 5+ Years PQE

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with some hybrid flexibility)

Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)

A respected South West law firm is seeking a Senior Associate with 5+ years' post qualification experience to join its busy and well established Agriculture & Land team in Wells. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a high performing, collaborative environment with a strong focus on quality work, rural sector expertise and long term client relationships.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of agricultural and rural property matters, including:

  • Sales and purchases of farms, estates and rural land
  • Agricultural tenancies
  • Rural land development and diversification projects
  • Succession planning support
  • Agricultural finance and security work
  • Building strong relationships with landowners, farmers, estates and rural businesses
  • Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with:

  • 5+ years' PQE in agricultural, rural property or commercial property law
  • Strong technical skills in property transactions
  • A genuine interest in the rural and agricultural sector
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
  • Confidence managing matters independently
