Job summary

Leading West End Law Firm in London is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Property Litigation team. You will handle complex commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes and advise on a broad range of property matters.

The role offers the chance to work on High Court and County Court proceedings, lead on mediations, mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development with a high-caliber client base.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with solid post-qualification experience in property litigation.
• Experience handling landlord and tenant disputes for commercial and residential matters.
• Comfort with court and tribunal proceedings, including the Property Chamber.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Running your own caseload of complex commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes.
• Advising on general property litigation matters, from dilapidations and service charges to forfeiture, possession and lease renewals.
• Conducting proceedings in the High Court, County Court, First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and Upper Tribunal.
• Preparing for and attending mediations and other forms of ADR.
• Working closely with partners on high-value matters and supervising junior lawyers and trainees.
• Building client relationships and contributing to business development.

I'm working with a leading West End law firm to find a Senior Associate for their Property Litigation team. This is a strong, well-established group of property litigators who handle complex commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes, alongside a broad range of general property issues. The team appears regularly in the High Court, County Court, First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and Upper Tribunal, and has a busy mediation practice too.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

• Running your own caseload of complex commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes
