An opportunity has arisen within MK Community Mental Health Hub Therapies Pathway for a Senior Assistant Psychologist to join this busy and well-established pathway. The position will suit an individual who is self‑motivated, an excellent communicator and data‑competent, with a passion to support services for adults with complex mental health presentations.

Responsibilities

You will be a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary team and work alongside our qualified and experienced Psychologists and other members of the multi‑disciplinary team to assist with a variety of service improvement and psychoeducational groups.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of service users within Milton Keynes Community Mental Health Hub Therapies Pathway. The primary focus will be to work in conjunction with Multi‑disciplinary Team (MDT) members to support service users and qualified health professionals in the assessment and delivery of evidence‑based psychological interventions, including Hub Duty, and will require access to a car with appropriate business insurance.

The post holder will also assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of outcome measures and statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, and project work.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants will be expected to hold a BPS approved degree in Psychology (upper second or first class) and have current experience of working within a secondary care mental health community setting as a paid Assistant Psychologist. It will be essential to have experience of working with people with complex mental health presentations and working in therapeutic groups in secondary care mental health setting.

Applicants should be highly motivated, a quick learner who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment.
