Job description

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Asset Manager to play a crucial role in optimising asset performance and supporting long-term sustainability across the organisation.

You'll work with senior managers across the club to ensure that assets are managed efficiently throughout their lifecycle, reduce any operational downtime, minimise costs, and extend asset longevity. Your strategic execution and oversight will ensure that capital investments are prioritised effectively, enhancing financial planning and resource allocation.

Your day-to-day
  • Asset Lifecycle Management - you will manage asset data and stewardship, collaborating with facility management teams to ensure accurate and complete data. You'll implement asset management plans to ensure performance and compliance.
  • Performance & Condition Monitoring - you'll track asset performance and condition, develop metrics, conduct performance meetings and analyse data to improve operational and maintenance planning.
  • Capital Investment Planning - you will manage budgets, develop long-term capital investment plans and prioritise investments based on data. You will work with various teams to ensure alignment with business strategies, incorporating sustainability initiatives and emerging technologies where possible.
  • Risk Management & Compliance - you'll ensure compliance with statutory regulations, manage asset criticality and maintenance strategies, and develop risk mitigation plans to minimise disruptions, especially on match days.
  • FM Contracts - you will oversee third-party FM service providers, ensuring they improve maintenance plans, meet KPIs and comply with performance requirements, collaborating with facilities managers and contracts managers to align asset management with the FM services.
  • Internal stakeholder collaboration - your role will involve supporting other teams, such as our project management office, with asset requirements for handover and integration into capital projects.
What we are looking for
  • Proven track record in asset management - you have extensive experience across the asset lifecycle including acquisition, maintenance and disposal.
  • History with asset registers - you have been in a similar senior role which managed fixed asset registers and implemented lifecycle management strategies to align with organisational goals.
  • Strong financial skills - you're confident with budgeting, forecasting and capital investment planning.
  • Data driven mindset - you're skilled in data analysis for decision making and resource prioritisation.
  • Inspiring and motivational leader - you've got excellent communication skills and you're easily able to lead and empower individuals to succeed and grow in their careers.
  • Excellent communication skills - you're confidently able to build and maintain impactful relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic and creative thinker - you've got a key eye for detail and an innate ability to see the bigger picture and identify opportunities.
