Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Senior Asset Manager for a renewable energy platform in London. Responsibilities

• Manage technical and commercial performance of utility-scale solar PV assets.
• Monitor SCADA, availability, performance ratios, losses and degradation.
• Oversee O&M providers, OEMs, contractors and technical service partners.
• Manage warranties, major remedial works and component replacements.
• Coordinate HV/MV/LV systems, substations, inverters and grid infrastructure.
• Support optimization, repowering and asset improvements.
• Manage PPA/route-to-market relations, metering, billing and settlement.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgets, forecasting, and asset performance.
• Support lender reporting, compliance and risk management.
• Engage with grid operators, landowners and other stakeholders.
• Support projects from construction to handover and operation.
• Maintain high standards on regulatory, H&S, environmental compliance.

Senior Asset Manager | Renewable Energy | London

I’m currently working on a Senior Asset Manager opportunity with a leading renewable energy platform, focused on the long-term performance and optimisation of utility-scale renewable energy assets across the UK.

This is a senior, hands‑on role combining technical asset management, commercial performance, operational oversight and stakeholder management. You’ll work closely with internal engineering, finance, legal, construction and energy teams, as well as external O&M providers, contractors, lenders and grid stakeholders.

The role will include:

• Managing the technical and commercial performance of utility-scale solar PV assets
• Monitoring SCADA, availability, performance ratios, losses, curtailment and degradation
• Overseeing O&M providers, OEMs, contractors and technical service partners
• Managing technical issues, major corrective works, warranties and component replacements
• Working across HV/MV/LV systems, substations, inverters and grid‑connected infrastructure
• Supporting the optimisation, repowering and improvement of operational assets
• Managing PPA / route‑to‑market relationships, metering, billing and settlement
• Working with Finance on budgets, forecasting, P&L, cash flow and asset performance
• Supporting lender reporting, compliance and financial requirements
• Managing relationships with grid operators, contractors, landowners and other key stakeholders
• Supporting projects through construction, commissioning and operational handover
• Ensuring strong standards across regulatory compliance, H&S, environmental and operational risk

Key experience:

• Solid technical understanding of solar PV and associated electrical infrastructure
• Experience managing O&M providers and technical contractors
• Commercial understanding of PPAs, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance
• Experience with BESS is highly desirable, particularly transmission‑connected projects and areas such as grid compliance, protection and control, metering and dispatch constraints
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, commercial and financial environments
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability
