Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking an experienced data analyst/scientist to stay hands-on with advanced analytics while acting as a technical specialist. You will develop predictive analytics and ML solutions that influence how we invest in and manage water assets.

The role sits in the Asset Analytics function, collaborating with data scientists, engineers and stakeholders to turn data into actionable insight with value for customers and the environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python and/or R skills.
• Experience delivering complex analytics and insight products that drive business value.
• Experience using Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced analytics, dashboards and insight products that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Apply statistical analysis, predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to asset management challenges.
• Develop forecasting, regression and classification models to improve performance and support investment planning.
• Build repeatable, scalable data pipelines and analytical workflows to improve efficiency and insight delivery.
• Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Work with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to develop and scale analytical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to apply analytics, predictive modelling and AI‑enabled approaches to business problems.
