Overview

My client is seeking a proactive and people‑focused Senior Team Leader to support and lead the Mechanical Assembly team. The successful candidate will coordinate daily operations, support team performance, and ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved across all Assembly bays. The role requires close collaboration with Planning, Machining, Logistics and other support functions to secure flow and resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities

Typical work activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and coordinate Assembly Operators to meet production requirements
  • Conduct performance reviews and 1-2-1s
  • Report absences and manage attendance
  • Track holidays using E‑Days and Excel Tracker
  • Provide daily shop floor support, coaching and feedback
  • Allocate workloads and monitor output against targets
  • Ensure correct use of tools, parts, documentation and test facilities
  • Ensure daily checks are completed and recorded
  • Deliver to quality, quantity and delivery expectations
  • Report KPIs and escalate issues
  • Maintain and drive 5S standards
  • Encourage safety observations
  • Ensure stock accuracy via recording and cycle counts
  • Monitor workflow to meet departmental and plant goals
  • Support end‑to‑end problem‑solving
