Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board seeks a highly motivated pharmacist to join the expanding Pharmacy Technical Services team. You will oversee the aseptic unit, supervising preparation of injectable medicines and deputising for the Accountable Pharmacist in a growing NHS setting.

Key duties include GMP/GCP/GDP compliance, clinical screening of SACT prescriptions, and providing expert pharmaceutical advice. Welsh language ability is desirable; interviews will be held soon.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Masters Degree in Pharmacy and be registered with the GPhC.
• Postgraduate Diploma in area of practice or equivalent is required.
• Independent Prescriber status is desirable/required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Act as an Authorised Pharmacist for the aseptic unit and supervise aseptic preparation of injectable medicines (SACT).
• Ensure GMP, GCP, GDP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Medicines Regulations compliance.
• Clinically screen and review prescriptions for SACT and clinical trials; verify aseptic processes.
