Glasgow Life is a charity like no other. Our vision is to improve the lives of everyone in our city. To help us achieve that, we are looking for a Senior Arts and Music Manager – Projects and Programmes to join our Arts and Music team.

As a Senior Arts and Music Manager you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Head of Arts and Music. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring that our creative projects and programmes support Glasgow’s role as a global cultural powerhouse while delivering social impacts for our citizens. You’ll work alongside colleagues with responsibility for diversity and inclusion, festivals including Glasgow International and Celtic Connections and our world class Arts and Music venues including Tramway and Glasgow’s Concert Halls.

The Senior Arts and Music Manager leads and supports our expert teams of creative managers and producers in overseeing a portfolio of projects and programmes that advance culture in the city and improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. The role also supports the development and delivery of cultural policies and special cultural projects such as Glasgow UNESCO City of Music, that contribute to the vibrant city economy.

We’re looking for someone with the right skills to bring energy to the role.

  • Degree level education, preferably in Arts discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Proven track record in leading project management, programming, artistic and operational delivery of large-scale and city-wide internationally significant events, festivals, and programmes.
  • Experience leading funding and partnership relationships with Creative Scotland, British Council, Scottish Government and other funding bodies.
  • Experience of lead responsibility for controlling budgets of significant scale.
  • Experience of leading cultural sector and industry relationships with demonstrable results.
  • Proven experience in managing programmes with multiple partner organisations including stakeholder management and reporting to City and Scottish Government and other national and international bodies.
