Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Arts Therapist to provide clinical assessment and intervention for adults with complex mental health needs, including psychosis. The role involves collaboration with other arts therapists, leading delegated projects, and contributing to multidisciplinary teams.

The post requires substantial NHS experience, an MA in Art Psychotherapy, HCPC registration, and active membership in the British Association of Art

Qualifications

Substantial post-qualification NHS adult mental health experience.
Experience supervising arts psychotherapists and liaising with university training courses.
Demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to best practice and evidence-based practice.
Registered with HCPC as an art psychotherapist.
Member of The British Association of Art Therapists.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical assessment and intervention to service users with complex mental health issues including psychoses.
Work with other arts therapists within the trust and lead delegated projects.
Represent arts therapists within the SBU and maintain relationships across teams.
Build relationships with arts therapists in other trusts and within professional bodies.
Work within MDTs across services.
Provide a range of therapeutic interventions including assessment, inpatient and outpatient work, individual and group work.
