Job summary

Bodleian Libraries is seeking a Senior Archivist with a particular focus on STEM archives to join the Archives & Modern Manuscripts team. The role involves managing collections, supporting researchers, and delivering projects from on-site work with occasional home-based days.

You will join a senior management team contributing to planning and operations. The successful candidate will hold a relevant archives qualification, demonstrate leadership, and have strong IT/digital literacy.

Qualifications

• You will hold a relevant degree and postgraduate qualification in archives and/or records management, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of one or more STEM disciplines and/or their historical development, particularly 20th/21st centuries.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver archival projects and manage staff.
• Lead and develop the Archives & Modern Manuscripts team.
• Contribute to leadership, planning and operational management as part of the senior team.
• Ensure work is prioritised and delivered to standards and timescales.
