Senior Architectural Technologist - Leeds

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Position: Permanent, Full-Time

We are working with a well‑established, multi‑disciplinary architectural practice seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist / Technical Architect to join their growing Leeds team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technologist who enjoys working across multiple sectors, including education, residential, and industrial projects, and wants to take on a senior, hands‑on role.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering technically robust designs, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring all projects comply with building regulations, the Building Safety Act, and other statutory requirements. You’ll coordinate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders while supporting and mentoring junior team members. This role also includes the opportunity to act as Lead Designer and, where applicable, undertake Principal Designer responsibilities under the Building Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects across multiple sectors.
  • Produce detailed drawings and coordinate project information across the design team.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, the Building Safety Act, and statutory standards.
  • Act as Lead Designer and Principal Designer where required.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.
  • Experience with Building Safety Act responsibilities and project coordination.
  • Practical knowledge of building and planning regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
