A local governmental agency in Edinburgh is seeking a Senior Architectural Assistant to deliver sustainable design solutions for various refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience, including skills in REVIT and AutoCAD. This role offers flexible working arrangements and a competitive salary ranging from £39,129 to £46,023.

The Council is looking to recruit a dynamic, client focused, personable and technically strong Senior Architectural Assistant with a drive to deliver sustainable design solutions. You will be part of The Strategic Asset partnership Team within the council's Strategic Asset Planning Service. You will be working on a wide and complex variety of predominantly refurbishment projects, covering the Council's operational property estate. This will include educational buildings, libraries, depots, offices, care facilities and other public facilities across the City of Edinburgh.
- Deliver sustainable design solutions on refurbishment projects across the City of Edinburgh.
- Work as part of a professional design team, collaborating with stakeholders and managing project budgets.
- Assess and implement accessibility and equality improvements in buildings, applying knowledge of the Equalities Act 2010 and Building (Scotland) Regulations.
- HNC/HND qualified in Architectural Design and hold a minimum associate membership (or working towards full membership) of a related professional body such as CIAT. Having a degree qualification would also be of benefit.
- Preferably have post‑qualification experience in architectural design and project/contract management.
- Experience and working knowledge in REVIT and AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage time effectively within project budgets.
- Having a valid CSCS card would be desirable.
