Job summary
BDP is seeking a Senior Architect for our Manchester studio to lead design concepts from inception to completion, with a focus on education or residential projects. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with professionals, and contribute to award-winning outcomes across a variety of stages and mediums.
You will work closely with clients and stakeholders, manage briefing and delivery, and push for sustainable, high-quality design.
Qualifications
- ARB-registered Architect with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
- Proven project leadership, design teams and external/consultant engagement.
- Strong portfolio across education or residential sectors preferred.
- Experience briefing, concept design, and delivery to project completion.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors and consultants.
- Proficient IT skills; experience delivering BIM projects (Revit preferred).
- Desirable: education/residential sector experience; proficiency in Adobe CC and Dynamo/scripts.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment and CDM/Building Regulations Principal Designer duties.

- Lead briefing, concept design and delivery through to award-winning projects.
- Be client-facing early in projects and drive high-quality design concepts.
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate multidisciplinary collaborators.
