Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Architect to lead architectural design and project delivery across defence and secure environments in a contract role based in Nottingham. You will manage complex schemes from feasibility through construction, coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality targets.

The position requires RIBA Part III, strong leadership, Revit/AutoCAD proficiency, and familiarity with UK Building Regulations.

Qualifications

RIBA Part III qualified Architect.
Experience in defence, secure, or highly regulated environments.
Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with BIM experience advantageous.
Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and NBS specifications.
Experience with quality management procedures and sustainability frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects across defence and secure environments.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high standards of quality.
Produce design packages for tender and construction phases.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Support client engagement and business development activities.
