Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a Senior Architect in Reading for a 6-9 month contract, paying £40-£42 per hour. You will lead architectural design across project stages for defence and nuclear programmes, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and QA standards.

You will manage small project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and deliver innovative, buildable design solutions under a quality-assured environment.

Qualifications

• ARB and/or RIBA qualified Architect.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Defence or nuclear sector experience essential.
• Experience in regulated QA design environments.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design delivery across project stages.
• Manage architectural team members and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs.
• Develop innovative, buildable and value-driven design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with UK planning legislation and regulations.
• Maintain safety, quality and technical governance throughout delivery.
• Identify and resolve design challenges across disciplines.
• Contribute to sustainable design and modern methods of construction.
