Job summary

CleanTech Talent is seeking a Senior Arboricultural Consultant to lead fieldwork and prepare planning documents for development projects in the Manchester area. You will advise on BS5837 consultancy, arboricultural planning, and engage with project teams to shape outcomes.

The role requires an academic background in arboriculture or related environmental disciplines, plus AA membership and strong communication, organization, and client-management skills. A hybrid remote setup is offered.

Qualifications

• Academic background in arboriculture or a related environmental discipline.
• Technical membership with the Arboricultural Association.
• Knowledge of the UK planning system as it relates to trees.
• Experience with BS5837 consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork and draft planning documents such as Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements.
• Advise on BS5837 consultancy and arboricultural planning.
• Navigate arboricultural planning policy and contribute to project team discussions.
• Build strong client relationships and ensure advice shapes project success.
• Support integration of arboriculture with development teams.
