Job summary

Incubator for AI (i.AI) invites a Senior Applied AI Engineer to move AI projects from experimentation to production at national scale. You’ll join small, high-performing teams building production‑grade AI systems that serve millions of users and improve public services.

Stack includes Python, TypeScript, AWS, Azure, GCP, PyTorch, LangGraph, LangChain, DSPy, Langfuse and frontier models. The role is hybrid in London, Manchester or Bristol.

Qualifications

• Senior-level AI/ML engineering experience, able to move AI projects from experimentation to production.
• Strong software engineering skills and curiosity about latest AI advances.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, design and policy.

• Design evaluations for AI models and systems at scale.
• Build production-grade AI systems and deploy them to public services.

We're looking for Senior Applied AI Engineers to help take cutting-edge AI from experimentation to production. You'll work in small, high-performing teams, building and deploying AI systems that solve real problems at national scale.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy moving quickly from idea to implementation, combining strong software engineering skills with deep curiosity about the latest advances in AI. You'll help design evaluations, build production-grade AI systems, explore new modelling approaches, and work closely with product, design and policy experts to turn complex challenges into impactful products.
