Senior Application Support Officer

Rate: £350 per day (Umbrella) (£270 PAYE a day)

Contract: Initial 3 months

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Hybrid - Mostly remote with occasional on-site presence at City Hall, College Green, Bristol

About the Role

Bristol City Council is seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Officer to join the Social Care Application Support team on a temporary basis. This role has been created to support increased workload arising from a major transformation programme within Adult Social Care, alongside preparation for significant upgrades to LAS (Liquidlogic Adults System) and ContrOCC.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced system support professional to play a key role in ensuring our critical social care systems remain stable, effective, and ready for future change.

The successful candidate will be required to attend Bristol to collect equipment and complete induction but can work predominantly from home thereafter.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Social Care Application Support team with project-related and BAU workload
  • Assist with upcoming system upgrades to LAS & ContrOCC, including planning, configuration, and testing
  • Ensure effective data quality, retention, and purging processes
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support across LAS and ContrOCC
  • Contribute to form development within LAS using CFR
  • Maintain system configuration and data integrity in line with organisational and statutory standards
  • Support Adult Social Care teams with system usage, processes, and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with information governance, data protection, and security requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with LAS (Liquidlogic Adults System) and ContrOCC (System C)
  • Proven track record in supporting system upgrades and conducting structured testing
  • Experience in retention and purging configuration/processes
  • Skilled in LAS form development (CFR)
  • Strong understanding of system configuration and data management
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAS/ContrOCC issues
  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care functions including:
    • Assessments
    • DoLS
    • Safeguarding Adults
    • Understanding of information governance and compliance requirements
