Job description

We are working with a South West based local authority who are seeking a Senior Application Support Officer to join their team to support extra work that has come into the Social Care Application Support team from a large transformation programme running in our Adult Social Care Department at the same time as we are planning to do a large upgrade on LAS & ContrOCC.

Location:

Southwest based Authority

Set-up:

Predominantly remote working, will need to attend the office on day 1

Rate:

£350/day via umbrella, inside IR35

Duration:

3 months – subject to extension

Hours:

Full-time

The Senior Application Support Officer will be part of the team and responsible for managing the day to day running of the Councils IT applications, this includes a helpdesk function; system upgrades; access, event and request fulfilment processes, and for ensuring all other associated tasks are carried out effectively and timely.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Application Support policies, processes, procedures and standards
  • Manage the implementation of service improvement working in partnership with internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide and monitor an effective Application Support Function. Manage the day-to-day activities, ensuring service levels are maintained and continually improved
  • Lead/oversee co-ordination of system upgrades
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Extensive experience of LAS (Liquidlogic Adults System) and Controcc applications (System C)
  • Proven track record in supporting system upgrades, including testing
  • Experience with retention and purging configuration/processes
  • Skilled in LAS form development (CFR)
  • Understanding of system configuration and data management
  • Ability to troubleshoot LAS/Controcc issues
  • Understanding of standard Adult Social Care processes, e.g. Assessments, DoLS, Safeguarding Adults
  • Understanding of information governance and compliance
