University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust in Derby is seeking a Deputy Antenatal and Newborn Screening Coordinator Midwife to lead ANNB screening coordination, data analysis and reporting.

You will work with ANNB screening lead midwives, provide counselling to families, support vaccine programmes during pregnancy and babies, and contribute to training and quality assurance in line with national standards.

Qualifications

• NMC registration required.
• Significant midwifery experience.
• Experience in ANNB screening role.
• Experience in counselling patients.
• Experience in delivering bad news to patients.
• Knowledge of ANNB screening programmes.
• Understanding of recruitment to report on KPIs and collate data.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with ANNB screening lead midwives and failsafe officer to coordinate NHS ANNB screening programmes according to national standards.
• Counsel women and families; provide advice within specialist areas; facilitate screening decisions and referrals to specialist services.
• Support immunisation and vaccination programmes for pregnant women and babies within ANNB screening.
• Coordinate and facilitate clinical activity for ANNB screening (e.g., NIPE clinics) with medical leads and ANNB screening leads.
• Provide education and guidance to staff to communicate effectively with families about ANNB screening options and outcomes.
