Senior Animal Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Animal Technician to oversee the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art Biological Research Facility (BRF) and actively contribute to the promotion of animal welfare and the Culture of Care within our facility.

As a Senior Animal Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and care of the animals under our supervision. Adhering to Home Office guidelines and the Animal Scientific Procedures Act 1986. Your responsibilities will include:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in animal welfare and research and a practical approach to work. You will be flexible, methodical, organised, technically minded and experienced with working in a laboratory environment. Weekend, Bank Holidays and university closure days to be worked as part of a rota basis.
You will work well in a team and be able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team. You\'ll offer guidance and professional judgement to the academic and technical communities.
