Speechify is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to support our fast-growing Android app and user base. You will own major features, collaborate with design, and help shape the future of the Android team in a remote, fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality user experiences.

You should have 5+ years of software engineering, strong Kotlin and Android skills, and a passion for testing and code quality. We value proactive collaboration and delivering reliable, user-friendly features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Android components.
• Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
• Kotlin experience and modern Android UI patterns.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own major features in the Android app and collaborate with design teams.
• Shape the future of the Android team.
• Own, maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and support other teammates.
• Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges.
• Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for QA.
