Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the UK seeks an Android Software Engineer III to join our International Consumer Bank team. You will deliver mobile banking features for Chase UK customers, ship Kotlin-based Android apps, and collaborate with product, design and engineering peers across the full SDLC.

You will work on modern Android tech, including Jetpack Compose, REST APIs, and MVVM/MVI patterns, with an emphasis on quality, performance, and security in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Experience building Android apps with Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of MVVM/MVI architecture patterns.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and release Android features for Chase UK customers.
• Develop and maintain clean, testable Kotlin code aligned with Android standards.
• Build intuitive UIs using Jetpack Compose and modern Android components.
• Contribute to testing strategies to ensure reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in code reviews and ceremonies.
• Stay current with Android trends and AI-assisted coding tools while ensuring security.
