Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III - Android to join the Chase UK team within the International Consumer Bank. You will help deliver high-quality mobile banking features for Chase UK customers, collaborating with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across the full software lifecycle.

You will contribute to development, testing, and maintenance of customer-facing Android applications, applying modern Android standards and patterns and staying current with

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Solid knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Experience building Android apps using Jetpack Compose.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and release new Android features.
• Develop and maintain clean, testable Kotlin code aligned with Android standards.
• Build intuitive UIs with Jetpack Compose and modern Android tech.
• Contribute to testing strategies to ensure reliability and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with engineers across the team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies supporting continuous delivery.
• Communicate progress and blockers to stakeholders across distributed teams.
• Engage in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Stay updated on Android trends, tools, and platform updates.
