Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in the UK seeks a Sr. Specialist to lead ASM business systems, integrations, and data governance, driving efficiency and accuracy across stakeholders, vendors, and clinical programs.

You will develop requirements, test strategies, perform UAT, and create dashboards and reports, ensuring compliance and scalable processes that support operational excellence in Ancillary Supply Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business systems, supply chain, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience supporting IT, business systems, clinical trial ops, supply chain, or related functions.
• Experience with current technologies, complex business systems, data management, integrations, and process improvement.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and operational planning.
• Ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders in a matrix organization.
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements and system solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support ASM business systems, integrations, and related technologies.
• Serve as the ASM SME for system functionality, configurations, integrations, master data, and business requirements.
• Identify, communicate, coordinate, and drive resolution of system, process, and data-related issues.
• Ensure continuous operational effectiveness through proactive system support, issue management, and process optimization.
• Develop business requirements, test strategies, test scripts, and perform UAT to validate system solutions.
• Lead initiatives focused on improving data quality, governance, integrity, and compliance with stakeholders.
• Create and maintain tools, reports, dashboards, and metrics that support ASM operations.
• Manage ASM master data and support data governance activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve system documentation, training materials, and SOPs.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization.
