Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Manager, Commercial to help drive advertising revenue growth at The Telegraph. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the analysis and optimisation of our advertising inventory, using data to uncover opportunities, guide decision‑making, and shape commercial strategy. You’ll partner with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and Sales to model revenue initiatives, improve data quality, and deliver clear, actionable insights that fuel performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for modelling revenue initiatives & opportunities and measuring their impact
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and work with stakeholders to share findings
  • Build and develop the right suite of executive reports, dashboards and tools to provide clear performance understanding and gap analysis
  • Partner with engineering to develop and implement new data ingestion pipelines; clean and apply business logic to transform raw data into polished, presentable data tables
  • Collaborate with the team to share ideas, concerns, and opportunities
  • Partner with the tech team to improve data quality and governance
  • Support finance on the development of supply & revenue forecasting models
Requirements
  • Strong analytics experience within commercial advertising (strong business acumen)
  • Excellent analytic skills, able to conduct and distill complex analysis into clear, actionable insights
  • Very strong communication skills and experience dealing with senior management
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Effective team player, able to build relationships & foster teamwork across multiple teams
  • Strong knowledge of BigQuery is required (experience with Adobe Analytics is preferred)
  • Proficient SQL knowledge is required (moderate Python knowledge is preferred)
